Michele came to Yoga from a background of athletics and 15 years of holistic health education and counseling. Practicing Yoga since 1990, she began her in-depth studies to explore the profound balancing, grounding and healing benefits of Yoga. Her initial training began with 10 years of study in the therapeutic Iyengar Yoga tradition with Lisa Walford, Aadil Palkhivala, Manouso Manos, Judith Lasater, Tony Briggs and others. She continued her Yoga studies in a variety of styles including vinyasa flow, viniyoga, Anusara Yoga and 1000 hours focused on Yoga Therapeutic study. She also studied over 500 hours in the philosophical Yoga traditions to understand Subtle Body Yoga Anatomy and the greater philosophical offerings of Yoga.
Currently, Michele is a YogaWorks Certified Instructor. Her most recent therapeutic Yoga training was with Jill Miller of Yoga Tune Up®,
and, in 2014 became a Yoga Tune Up®,
Certified Instructor. Michele is also an active member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT).
As a Certified and Registered Yoga Alliance E-RYT 500 instructor with over 5000 hours and 15 years of teaching experience, she offers public classes, private sessions, workshops, continuing education and retreats to encourage the fulfillment of yoga, health and creative aspirations.

Michele currently teaches public classes at YogaWorks in Marin County and the San Francisco Bay Area. She blends her styles of teaching and is a Teacher Trainer and Professional Mentor for aspiring new teachers and developing established teachers. As a Yoga Instructor, her welcoming approach and attention to individual needs allows students to challenge themselves, let go of old habits and invite new possibilities. Her classes are alignment and therapeutic-based. Breath, meditation and philosophical insight are interwoven throughout the practice to cultivate a calm, focused mind and an inspired, joyful heart.
As a Yoga Therapy Specialist, she offers individual sessions for those who have injuries, body limitations or chronic illnesses. She collaborates with a variety of medical professionals to help teach patients yoga poses and movements that assist optimal recovery. She also works with athletes to support core strength, flexibility, mind focus and endurance training.
