Michele comes to yoga from a background of athletics and holistic health education. Originally drawn to classes for the grounding and calming benefits, in 1990, she began her in-depth studies to explore the greater physical-emotional-spiritual benefits. Her initial training began in the Iyengar Yoga tradition with Amy Cooper, Manouso Manos, Lisa Walford, Sarah Powers and Maritza. She continued her studies in a variety of styles, including vinyasa flow and yin. Then, in 2002, she enthusiastically embraced the heart-opening and inspiring teachings of Anusara Yoga, influenced by John Friend, Sianna Sherman and Desiree Rumbaugh.
